A Noumea cruise stopover can combine city sightseeing, waterfront walks and time in the lagoon. Choose your shore excursion around the time you actually have ashore and your ship’s all-aboard deadline.

Find the cruise terminal and our team

Meet Noumea Double Deckers at our stand at the Gare Maritime — Cruise Ship Terminal, Quai Jules Ferry, in central Noumea. Quai Ferry and Gare Maritime refer to the same passenger-terminal area in these instructions.

Depending on your ship’s berth, you may arrive near the city centre or take a shuttle arranged by your cruise line from the port. Follow your ship’s instructions to reach the terminal: the berth where you disembark is not necessarily your tour’s meeting point.

Explore Noumea by Hop On Hop Off bus

First departure at 8:30 AM, then a bus every 25 minutes. Times are local to Noumea.

The route serves Noumea Market, Port Plaisance, Lemon Bay — Baie des Citrons, Anse Vata and the Aquarium area. Pick a few stops instead of trying to fit in everything. The market is closed on Mondays, so plan a bay or city-centre visit instead that day.

A bus pass and any attraction admission are separate services. Check what your selected offer includes before booking, especially if you plan to visit the Aquarium.

Take a trip to Master Island

This outing combines transfers with free time on the island. Compare the departure slot and planned return with your ship’s schedule. A later departure may leave too little time at the end of a short stopover; our team can help you choose.

Plan your return to the ship

  1. Write down the all-aboard deadline provided by your cruise line.
  2. Confirm the meeting point and the day’s tour times with our team.
  3. Allow time to reach the terminal, take any required port shuttle and board your ship.
  4. Keep your ticket and our team’s phone number handy: +687 50 00 88.

The times published on the tour pages help you prepare your outing. Your ship’s stopover, conditions on the day and cruise-line instructions determine your final plan. Avoid booking two excursions whose schedules overlap.

Practical questions before you book

Can I book before my ship arrives?

Yes. Open the Hop On Hop Off page or the Master Island page, then select your date and tickets in the booking form. Online availability and prices are displayed there.

Which time should I follow?

Compare local Noumea meeting and departure times with the time used aboard your ship. If an older partner listing differs from your booking instructions, ask our team to confirm the arrangements.

What should I bring?

Water, a hat, sun protection, suitable footwear and your booking ticket. For the lagoon, add swimwear and a towel; check your tour page for details of included equipment.
